Today I want to reach out to give you a little bit of encouragement. Are you discouraged when it comes to your health? Do you think you have tried all the right things and are doing all the right things, but nothing seems to work? Or maybe you’re just too busy to make your health a priority?
Are you the kind of person who puts everything else first? While this can be very admirable, it’s not always the healthiest thing to do.

Stop Being a “Yes Man or Woman” and Put Your Health First
Many of you are caring, loving people, who put everything else first:
- Your job
- Your church
- Volunteer work
You’re always the yes person.
You’re always the person to say yes I can do that. Yes I can give. Yes I can help.
Which is amazing. I want you to continue to do that. But you’ve got to remember to take care of yourself too because you can’t give from an empty cup.
Shifting Your Focus for a Healthier and Happier Life
If you’re always giving, giving, giving, and you don’t take care of yourself, eventually someone’s going to have to take care of you. So today I want to encourage you to make yourself and your health a priority in 2018 because you deserve it.
You deserve to be happy. You deserve to be healthy.
Doing simple things each day is so important. Think about all the great things that are going on in your life. What are you grateful for?
Really focus on the wins. Even the small wins.
- You win when you exercise today.
- You win when you make one healthy nutrition choice today.
- You win if you got your chiropractic adjustment today.
- You win every time you do one thing that moves you forward.
Focus on these wins. Don’t focus on all the things you didn’t do. Don’t focus on the things that are not going well. Focus on what you want more of and give yourself credit for those wins.
Learn to Live in Gratitude
One of the things I do every day is spend time in gratitude. I think of all the things that I’m grateful for in the morning even before I start my day and do a vision cast for what I want to accomplish that day.
What are my top outcomes that I know is going to help make me successful and move me forward on the things that are important to me?
And then at the end of the day I like to go through and recap those top outcomes.
What are the greatest things that happened to me today? What are the things I could have done even better had I focused on them a little bit more?
I would encourage you to start doing the same thing. Don’t focus on what’s not going well, focus on what is going well and what you can do to keep yourself moving forward.
YOU are Worth Being a Priority
Remember to make yourself a priority because you do matter. You are worth it. You’re doing better than you think you are.
