Here are some good sugar alternatives:
- Stevia
- Xylitol
- Coconut sugar
- Honey
You can still have a lot of things that you enjoy. It’s not about depriving yourself and eating nothing but broccoli all day. There’s lots of good recipes. It’s natural healthy food using these things.
How to Transition Your Nutrition
The Metabolics book has recipe after recipe. The nutrition book has over 100 different recipes in it. So, you can be applying these things on a regular basis. What do we do? We do the replacement rule. You take one thing you used to do — crisco oil, canola oil, palm, whatever, you switch that to coconut oil.
Coconut oil is the preferred cooking oil. Olive oil is better like a dressing or like side oil. When you used to use store brought salad dressings, now we’re using it with the good oils and seasonings. We used to have ice cream or conventional milk, now we’re using coconut ice cream, unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk, which is way better.
We used to have sugar. We’re using Stevia or Xylitol. We used to use mayonnaise or Miracle Whip. Now, we’re using homemade mayonnaise. Great recipes for vegenaise in here. Organic plain yogurt like Greek yogurt is really good. You put that on a lot of stuff. We used to use regular flour, Enriched flour. Now, there is flax, almond, coconut flour. We used to drink soda, now if you want to, there is a Zevia soda. The replacement rule (sugar alternatives) is a really good way to start transitioning your nutrition.
